Reviews and Ratings
Our stay at the hotel was wonderful! The rooms were very comfortable, and they looked nice as we walked in, which was perfect for our anniversary celebration. The room setup was ideal for our family, with a cozy double bed for us parents and two bunk beds for our toddler and older son, which we could combine for them. Though our room was great, some areas could use a bit of improvement. The service was top-notch and made us feel welcome, but there were a few hiccups in the dining experience. The location was excellent, especially being so close to Grotto beach, but having a bar fridge would have been convenient in the hot weather. Overall, a lovely stay with some minor areas to enhance.
I was a bit disappointed with the room as it didn't have a fridge and wasn't as advertised with the balcony bathtub and sea view. However, the hotel is nicely located close to the peaceful Grotto Beach, making it a pleasant stay overall.
The hotel location was decent, being close to the famous Hermanus cliff walk and surrounded by quaint thatched roof houses. The rooms, however, seemed a bit dated and lacked privacy due to their proximity to the swimming pool. The price paid felt reasonable for the overall experience.
Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the room was not as advertised with no balcony bathtub or sea view. The room lacked basic amenities like air conditioning and a bar fridge, and was far from deluxe, showing signs of neglect with dirty appliances and squeaky floors. The location was excellent but required a vehicle due to the distance from town, making it inconvenient for shopping. The dining experience was decent but service was slow at times, and the facilities needed some attention.
My stay at the hotel was quite mixed. The rooms were small but alright for a short stay, although poorly lit which made it hard to read. The 'play room' seemed outdated and in serious need of renovation, especially the windows, ceiling fan, shower stall, and towels.
The hotel offers a mix of pleasant and disappointing aspects. The rooms, despite not matching the website's description, provide a unique ocean view from the bed. However, the inability to open windows was a downside.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, even though a bit dated, were spacious and suitable for my family. The service was decent, and the location was great, though a bit far from the main area. The dining options were basic but sufficient. Facilities were adequate overall.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms were clean and well stocked with amenities like coffee and tea, the lack of proper lighting made it difficult to read. The absence of air conditioning in favor of flimsy heaters didn’t help with the stifling heat and stuffiness. The service was decent, although room service could have been more attentive. The location, on the edge of town within walking distance of the beach, was ideal despite some issues like mold in the shower area and limited privacy on the balcony. Dining options were basic and sparse, especially for those with special dietary needs. Overall, the hotel had its flaws but also some redeeming qualities.
I absolutely loved the hotel's unbelievable view and the cleanliness of the rooms. However, a bit of refurbishing is needed, especially with the linen. Despite lacking air conditioning and a bar fridge, it's a comfortable stay overall.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. While the room I stayed in didn't have the sea view I was hoping for and lacked any deluxe features, it was at least tidy and clean. However, the dusty appliances, squeaky floors, and old hard couch were noticeable downsides. The windows didn't close properly, and the balcony door had no latch, making it difficult to keep open without it banging shut.
